AI-powered solutions engineering

Saugat Dawadi · Solutions Engineer

I turn “can it do that?” into “when can we start?”

Technical enough to build it. Clear enough to explain it. Commercial enough to sell it.

I'm an engineer who builds with AI every day. I turn a customer's problem into a working solution fast, demo it, and explain it in plain language to engineers and executives alike. My specialty is AI for enterprise workforce and talent data.

Approach

From first call to working solution

Most teams split this work across an engineer, a consultant and a seller. I cover all five stages, so what gets demoed is what gets built.

  1. 01

    Discover

Ask the questions that surface the real problem behind the request.

ProofLed requirements gathering, technical discovery and stakeholder alignment on Fortune 500 engagements.

  2. 02

    Design

Turn messy requirements into a clear, buildable solution.

ProofSolution architecture for a $27.7B M&A workforce integration.

  3. 03

    Build

Prototype it for real, with live data, integrations and AI.

ProofAPI-driven HR system integration and proofs of concept that join four data sources.

  4. 04

    Demo

Show it working, and explain it in plain language so engineers and executives both see their problem solved.

ProofExecutive demos and partner pitches, plus a webinar with 1,000+ views.

  5. 05

    Win & scale

Earn the customer's yes, then make the solution repeatable.

ProofSupported $2M+ in ARR opportunities. One solution became a template behind $38M+ in deal value.

Engineer first

I build it myself, with AI, in days instead of weeks.

Demo

I show it working rather than describe it on slides.

Translate

I explain the technical parts in plain language for any room.

Sell

I understand what makes a buyer say yes, and what keeps them happy after.

How I work with AI

AI is how I work every day

I don't just talk about AI with clients. I've rebuilt my own workflow around it, and that hands-on experience shapes how I design AI solutions for others.

Workflow 01 · Build → Demo

From raw, messy data to an executive-ready demo

Client data never arrives clean. I work with AI through the whole path: cleaning and restructuring raw exports into a working data model, brainstorming the best way to model and visualize it, shaping the story the audience needs to hear, then building the working demo and the slides to present it.

Example: an AI Workforce Impact Explorer for a fictional 5,000-person company. Raw role and skills data became a scoring model across 9 functions and 57 roles, built from six dimensions like routineness and the need for human judgment. Each role gets a clear call: redesign, upskill or monitor. A skills view shows which skills are rising or declining, and the capability gaps to hire for.

Workflow 02 · Discover

Prepared for every call

Before discovery calls and demos, I use AI to research the account and its industry, map the stakeholders and their likely priorities, draft discovery questions, and rehearse answers to tough objections.

I walk into every call already knowing the right questions.

Workflow 03 · Discover → Design

From messy request to clear requirements

I hand AI a raw client or partner request. It breaks it into requirements, assumptions and open questions, then drafts a first version of the solution that I refine.

Faster turnaround on custom requests, and nothing important missed.

Workflow 04 · Integration

Connecting AI to enterprise data with MCP

I prototype integrations using MCP, the open standard for connecting AI assistants to data and software, so AI can work directly with workforce platform data.

Hands-on with where enterprise AI is heading, beyond chat.

Client stories

From the ask to the outcome

What clients asked for is rarely what they needed. Each story shows the full cycle: the request, what discovery uncovered, what I built, and what happened next.

Big 4 advisory firmAI transformation

One build, twenty client projects

Ask
Support an AI transformation program for a Fortune 500 client.
Found
Every new engagement was being rebuilt from scratch, which slowed every proposal.
Built
A reusable AI transformation solution, standardized into a template the partner's teams take to each new client.
Outcome
20+ client projects and $38M+ in deal value so far.
Enterprise clientIntegration

An org model that never goes stale

Ask
Keep the organization model current.
Found
Manual refreshes from the HR system meant the model was always out of date.
Built
An API-driven integration that picks up HR system changes in near real time.
Outcome
Became a standard delivery pattern and statement of work.
Healthcare consultancyJob architecture

Off spreadsheets, onto one source of truth

Ask
Help re-level jobs across a healthcare client.
Found
Leveling lived in spreadsheets with no single source of truth, so every client started over.
Built
A job architecture and re-leveling model that works for any healthcare client.
Outcome
Now used across 8+ healthcare organizations.
Prospects & partnersPresales

Demos built on the buyer's own scenario

Ask
Show prospects how the platform handles workforce planning, M&A and AI scenarios.
Found
Generic demos didn't land. Buyers needed to see their own questions answered.
Built
Proofs of concept joining HR census, activity, skills and labor market data to play out each buyer's scenario.
Outcome
Supported $2M+ in ARR opportunities.

Running effective organizations: tracking your transformation journey

Most transformations that fail do so by stalling, and stalling usually comes from losing sight of progress. I showed how to refresh workforce data, compare actuals with forecasts, and use scenario modeling to correct course while there's still time.

Perspective

What I've learned about AI and work

Notes from years inside workforce transformation programs, each with what I'd actually do about it.

  • AI transformation is a workforce design problem.

Buying AI tools changes tasks, not organizations. The value only shows up when roles, spans, skills and career paths are redesigned around those new tasks. Most programs stop at the pilot because nobody owns that redesign step.

In practicePair every AI pilot with a role-by-role plan: what changes, who's affected, and what each person does next.

  • Start with activities, not job titles.

Two people with the same title can spend their weeks very differently. Breaking roles into activities, and scoring how routine and judgment-heavy each one is, shows what AI can absorb, what it can augment, and what it should leave alone.

In practiceScore roles on a handful of dimensions, then sort them into redesign, upskill or monitor, as in my demo.

  • Context beats prompts.

Clever prompts help a little. Giving AI your real data, your domain knowledge and your tools helps a lot. That's true for one person getting work done and for an enterprise rolling AI out across thousands of people.

In practiceBefore choosing tools, decide what data and knowledge the AI needs to reach, and how it will reach it safely.

  • Inside data needs outside data.

An org chart tells you what you have. Labor market intelligence tells you what you can hire, what it will cost and how fast skills are changing. Workforce plans built on internal data alone tend to assume talent that isn't there.

In practiceCheck every build, buy or borrow decision against real market supply before committing to it.

About

Every opportunity, earned

  1. Kathmandu, NepalBudhanilkantha School
  2. Philadelphia, PADrexel University, Computer Engineering
  3. Columbus, OHSolutions engineering & AI

I grew up in Nepal, and every opportunity I've had came from competing for it.

I earned a place at Budhanilkantha School through its competitive national entrance exam. That led to a full-ride scholarship at Drexel University, where I studied Computer Engineering, made the Dean's List every term and graduated Magna cum Laude. Co-ops at JPMorgan Chase and an e-commerce company taught me early that the best technical work is the work people actually adopt.

At Orgvue I started as a consulting analyst modeling organizations for Fortune 500 clients. I became the person teammates brought their hardest technical problems to, then started leading projects, mentoring newer colleagues, and presenting to customers. Two promotions later, as a Senior Solutions Engineer, I lead client work from discovery to demo with Big 4 advisory partners.

What I bring is a real engineering foundation, an everyday AI habit, and the communication skills to make technical work make sense to anyone. I'm dependable, resourceful and competitive, and happiest when a problem doesn't have an obvious answer yet.
